Regular visitors to this blog may have noticed some strange goings on over the past couple of days with the site design changing then reverting back to the old theme. I am please to announce the launch of the all new Community Spark blog - your guide for building online communities that succeed.
There are still a few kinks that need to be worked out; specifically I need to make the archives page look a little more attractive, install a contact form and make some other minor adjustments (unfortunately I am a bit of a perfectionist).
I am also in the process of finishing off the footer links to ensure they actually point to real pages! If you notice anything odd, please let me know. I would also love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the new design.
This blog is link loved enabled - the no follow attribute has been removed from all links that appear in comments so make a contribution and earn yourself some link love!

Really like the new design! It is compact, quickly and easily navigable. It is kind of everything at a glance, good job.

Not sure if you have noticed this kink:
Environment: IE6 + Windows XP
Problem: The single page has the content pushed down below all sidebars.

Hey, I can comment now.
Great job on the redesign. It’s quite a shock after being used to the old site but change is good. Keeps stuff fresh.

Thanks for your initial comments and positive feedback, it is greatly appreciated. Vyoma - that issue you mention should now be fixed. Let me know if you notice any further problems.
If any of you continue to notice anything that looks wrong, or functionality that seems a little quirky, please let me know.

With the exception of the [very distracting] block of ads at the top, it looks fantastic Martin - nice clean layout. The animation in the ads made me have to stop for a second and locate the top of the article.

Gerard - Unfortunately after running this blog without ads for a year, it was time it started to pay for itself; at least by covering its hosting costs!

I completely understand Martin - I wasn’t so much commenting on their existence as I was on their placement. Anyone who provides value via their blog deserves to make money from it.

What a great thing you have done! This looks great! I’m looking forward to seeing some of the new sections opening that you demo’d in the previews… (heh, forum?)

Eric - New sections? Eeek! Who knows what the future may hold, but for now I have my hands full!

The site looks great. The site layout is refreshingly different from most other blogs I have seen.

Looks good martin, nice, clean, and simple. I am glade i don’t have to get distracted by that blue bg color. I can’t believe I haven’t seen the redesign until now. I just finished off final exams in college so i have been very busy!
