Thanks for the 'heads-up' on these 2 blogs. I've not read Tyler's before and I immediately got a feel for what the guy is like and what makes him tick - just like a blog should be. John Chow's has got some good information...if you navigate around all the adverts and promotion.

stars - You're right; ShoeMoney often publishes some interesting articles on his blog and he should certainly be considered an authority blogger.

Michelle - Who knows, in the future I may just put up a few ads; at the moment though, I am concentrating solely on the content of this blog and am happy running it completely without advertising.

"Either way, he makes more from his blog than I do!"

I noticed the lack of ads on here. I've been reading so many of your posts over the last few days I wanted to thank you with some clicks but there's none to click on! Unusual these days to find a site with no ads. I succumbed to the temptation not long ago on one of my sites that I never planned to monetize. Haven't made very much, yet, but it's still a bit of a rush seeing those pennies add up. :)

Michelle

PS: Sigh... Captcha still doesn't like me.

Studium - Tyler does publish a lot of paid reviews, hence his good overall monthly income. He also tends to mix in the revenue from PublisherSpot, too.

I was a little bit astonished, that Tyler made 750 $ with his blog in September. That is really a lot and shows me, that I have to learn a lot more in this business...

segnala sito - I have to admit that I read John Chow's blog a lot less these days; his blog has focussed on making money so much that there is no longer any particularly valuable content over there.

Fernstudium / Studium - Are you a regular reader of both blogs?
